Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.
Fishing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up on the Carolina coast, I learned early that the water has a way of teaching patience, humility, and respect. Those lessons shaped who I am, long before I became a captain.
Today, I have the privilege of sharing those waters with anglers from across the country through Tidal Waters Guide Service. Whether you're an experienced angler or stepping onto a skiff for the first time, my goal is the same. I want you to leave with great memories, new skills, and an appreciation for the incredible fishery we have here in South Carolina.
My Story
My grandfather introduced me to fly fishing when I was ten years old, and I was hooked from the first cast.
As a teenager, I worked as a mate on offshore charter boats where I learned that a successful day isn't measured only by the fish you catch. Preparation, hard work, honesty, and taking care of your clients matter just as much.
That path led me into the United States Coast Guard, where I served as a Boatswain's Mate. Later, I became a Marine Fisheries Conservation Officer, protecting the fishery and educating anglers.
Those experiences continue to influence every charter I run today.

The Boat
I guide from a Hells Bay Guide, built by Hells Bay Boatworks, one of the premier technical poling skiff builders in the world.
Its shallow draft allows us to quietly access water that larger boats simply can't reach, while its size provides a smooth, comfortable ride for longer runs and open-water crossings.
Whether we're stalking redfish across flooded grass, sight fishing sharks along the beach, or exploring a backwater creek, the Hells Bay Guide is the ideal platform for the diverse fisheries of the South Carolina coast.
