My most popular fly fishing charter. More time to adjust with the tide, cover water, and stay on fish. Great for redfish, shark fly fishing, or seasonal tarpon opportunities along the South Carolina coast.

Sharks on Fly

Sharks on fly is one of the most aggressive and visual saltwater fly fishing trips you can book. You will sight cast to cruising boneheads, blacktip and spinner sharks, watch the eat in clear water, and come tight to explosive runs and aerial jumps. Expect blistering first runs, violent head shakes, and nonstop pressure from one of the ocean’s top predators.

Flood Tide Redfish

Flood tide redfish is technical, visual fly fishing at its best. You will pole across flooded grass, spot tails waving above the surface, and place a precise cast in inches of water. Watch the fish track, tip down, and eat in shallow water before ripping line off the reel. These shots demand focus, accuracy, and calm under pressure.

Waccamaw River on Fly

Fly fishing the Waccamaw River delivers aggressive topwater action in dark, tannin stained water. You will throw poppers and deer hair bugs tight to cypress trees and fallen timber, drawing explosive eats from largemouth bass, bream, and hard charging bowfin. Expect violent surface strikes, strong runs into cover, and steady action in a true Carolina blackwater system.

What to know before your trip

Snacks and water?

Bottled water and ice are provided. Meals can be provided as well for additional cost. Reach out before your trip date if interested

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably and for long hours in the elements. I recommend comfortable shoes, polarized sunglasses, and sun clothing. Please do not bring spray sunscreen. I keep sunscreen and bug spray on the boat that you're welcome to use any time.

Anything I can do before the trip to increase the odds for success?

Practice double hauling. Most cast are within 50 feet but quick and accurate cast are critical. Spend some time getting comfortable casting in the wind and without rocking your hips.
