Guides to a Gift- Blackwater Revival

With the Christmas right around the corner we thought it we could lend a hand with gift ideas so we reached out to a few guides around Charleston and asked what they would recommend anyone looking for gift ideas for the angler in their lifes! Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting ideas from each guide along with link for the items.

Todays guide Captain Johnny Mainero with Blackwater Revival Guide Service located in Georgetown SC.

Penn Bullnose Pliers

I’ve had 5 pairs of pliers over the past 2 years, these penns have made a permanent home in my skiff. They are solid, cutters are great and the ergonomic grips are a nice touch. For the price point they are unmatched.

Kufa Sports Retractable Landing net

This net is great large basket to be able to handle channel bass. The large net is nice for keeping fish in water while getting camera ready and rather than on the deck of the skiff. Keeping the fish in the net keeps them fresh and revived before you even snap a shot.

3 T and T series fly reels

These made a debut to my skiff for my larger setups this past summer and have proven great. Solid construction, large drag surface area and enough room for a ton of backing. These reels can stop a train.
